新年到了，所謂年年難過年年過，當一些大企業在比較誰年終獲利最多、給的年終獎金最多時，有許多店家悄悄地結束營業，一家家店舖關閉，疫情影響幾家歡樂幾家愁，對小本經營的店家是難過的一年。
而今，疫情又起，大家都擔心再度封城，社福機構更如坐雲霄飛車，又不准探視，又怕有人染疫或連坐，工作人員的辛勞有誰知？靠活動籌募資金，活動一個一個被迫停止，籌不到經費也是心驚膽跳??

我們身在其中也不例外，一項長期、定期的人事補助經費50萬，突然被通知停止補助，只好凍結人事，人手不夠也不敢再徵人，工作夥伴們分擔更多的工作，但為了孩子不畏疫情，就這麼在愛心、希望與信心中撐過！

年終，承蒙大家的支持，募款總算是暫時平安順利，讓我們能再忙碌地採購年貨，喜樂地送到孩子手上，幫他們過一個快樂溫馨的年！感恩你們！

「孕育人生」的?案，雖然募資平台作業尚未完成結算，但我們已積極在推動，預計至少能幫8到10位小媽媽小爸爸及孩子們，希望能在教育及陪伴中，協助改善他們的人生！

生活不是一時的，希望大家繼續、長期的，為我們及青少年們祈禱、支持與贊助，謝謝！

First and foremost, I would like to thank YOU, our volunteers, staff, priests, deacons, and parishioners, for your great spirit of teamwork, devotion and faith.  Your hard work and engagement from decorating to proclaiming the Word, truly contributed to a very holy and beautiful year of grace. The year of 2022 promises to be even more exciting with the anniversary of the Mission, Divine renovation, and pastoral initiatives which call for even greater collaboration and support from all of us. Together we will enter a new year of grace and opportunities with faith in the Lord who inspires and completes the Mission he has entrusted to us.

This weekend we celebrate The Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, The Epiphany of the Lord, and the beginning of our year-long commemoration of Mission San Jose's 225th Anniversary!  I can't think of any better way to welcome 2022.  Happy New Year!

During the entirety of 2022 we pay special tribute to the people whose lives shaped our rich heritage starting with the Franciscan missionaries who sowed the seeds of Christian faith that has endured for nearly 225 years.  Please join us Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 9:30 AM for our first in a series of presentations.  Our guest speaker is Andrew A. Galvan, a descendant of the Ohlone, Bay Miwok, Plains Miwok and Patwin Indians whose ancestral lands comprise the greater San Francisco Bay Area Region.  Please click here for more information and also to bookmark and check our website for updates and information as the year unfolds.

Please join us January 5 as we celebrate our First Wednesday of the Month Devotion to Saint Joseph with Mass in the Mission at 7:00 PM.  This celebration is bi-lingual and we partner with our brothers and sisters from the Spanish/Latino Community in Word and song.  We hope to see you there.

We also celebrate our First Friday and First Saturday of the Month Masses at 8:00 AM in the Mission on January 7 and 8, respectively.  Friday marks our monthly Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Saturday is our Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Please join us for these special monthly Masses.  Hospitality immediately following our Saturday devotion in the Mission Garden.  We also feature our first presentation in our speaker series commemorating the 225th Anniversary of Mission San Jose.

Saint Joseph School is enrolling for the 2022-2023 school year.  We invite you to join us in person for a private, socially distanced campus tour OR on ZOOM for a Virtual Meet and Greet.  Please consider our award-winning school for the full academic and faith formation of your children.  How we prepare our children today will impact them the rest of their lives.  Please click here for specific details and contact information.

2022 is here!  Have you thought about joining our Lector Ministry?  Consider allowing God to borrow your voice, to speak through your heart and make His message known.  Our parish is filled with fantastic readers and speakers.  Please share your wonderful talents with us.  Perhaps you have considered being an usher for our people.  Ushers are the friendly face and smile of our community.  They welcome everyone into God's house.  Ushers are instrumental in providing assistance to those receiving Jesus at Communion.  They are your personal concierge at Saint Joseph Church!  These roles are vital and we have an immediate need for both lectors and ushers, particularly at this busy time of year.  Please click here for more information and how to join.  We are also in need of altar servers.  If you are 10 years or older, please see me or a deacon after/before Mass for more information.  We look forward to having you join us!
