All Saints Day is Monday, November 1. All Souls Day is Tuesday, November 2. Our Mass schedule is as follows:

Throughout November, Catholics around the world unite to remember and express gratitude for dear friends and family members, as well as the community of saints who have gone before us and blessed us by their lives of love, faith and service to others. Books in which to write the names of those gone before us are also available behind the last pew. The books will be placed in the Sanctuary at the foot of the altar during the month of November. Names entered via our parish website will be printed out and added to the physical book. If you have lost a loved one within the last two years, please consider adding a photo to our new display in the rear of the parish Church.
Please join us for the Blessing of the Eucharistic Chapel on Sunday, October 31 at the 10:00 AM Mass. In November, we will initiate signups for Eucharistic Adoration. More information will be provided in next week's bulletin.

November 7 through 13 is National Vocation Awareness Week. Please pray for an increase of vocations for nuns and priests.
The Saint Joseph Men’s Club invites all parishioners to attend an informative online presentation on a key subject of interest to all of us – Dementia. The Meeting will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday November 2 via ZOOM. We extend our deepest thanks to our Staff, Liturgy Core Team, and countless volunteers who facilitated the beautiful Mass and procession in honor of Our Lady of Fatima. Attendance and parish participation were stellar and we look forward to offering more Masses and devotions bringing us closer to Jesus and the Holy Family. Dear Saint Joseph Family in Christ,
Welcome to Saint Joseph/Old Mission San Jose and our weekly communication newsletter. I invite you to embrace and share these messages with your family and friends.

Thank you for your patience as we continue our mission to beautify our church and parish grounds. The flooring was replaced in the main church and the Eucharistic Chapel is near completion. We will continue to update you and provide status regarding our ongoing projects.
Please join us for a special Mass at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13, to honor the final apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. This multilingual Mass will be held in the main church and conclude with a candlelight procession to the Mission where we will pray the Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mass will be preceded by the recitation of the Rosary and confession at 6:30 PM.
The parish wide survey opens this week on October 14th. Please help us participate by completing a 10-15 minute survey either online or by obtaining a paper copy at the end of each Mass. Details and contact information can be found in the bulletin. Please click here to take the survey online.

The only thing constant is change. It is with both joy and sadness we bid farewell to Father Mark Ruiz. After only two+ short years at Saint Joseph, Bishop Michael Barber has appointed Father Mark to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Brentwood effective Friday, October 1. We honor and thank Father Mark for his spiritual leadership, love, great humor and generosity. We pray for Father Mark in his new assignment and invite him to come back and visit us at any time. We will deeply miss him.

Thank you to the Filipino Community of Saint Joseph for sharing their tradition and culture celebrating the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod at the 5:30 PM Vigil Mass last weekend. The liturgy and music were exceptional and honored two very special saints and martyrs. We are blessed to experience the sacred reverence of our rich cultural diversity.
Thank you for your generous support of the Haiti Disaster Relief second collection last weekend. Your generosity influences and assists our Haiti brothers and sisters in their critical time of need. You are the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you for your selfless acts of kindness and generosity.
In honor of the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, we will have Blessing of the Animals this Sunday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m. on the Mission Steps. All animals are welcome.
First Wednesday of the Month Mass, Devotion to Saint Joseph, is on October 6 at 7:00 PM in the Mission. Please come to honor and celebrate this very special man and saint. The Mass will be bilingual and feature the Adult and Vietnamese Multi-Cultural Choirs.
