Dear Saint Joseph Family in Christ,

Welcome to Saint Joseph/Old Mission San Jose and our weekly communication newsletter.  I invite you to embrace and share these messages with your family and friends.

The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy.   Psalm 126

Throughout November, Catholics around the world unite to remember and express gratitude for dear friends and family members, as well as the community of saints who have gone before us and blessed us by their lives of love, faith and service to others.  Please click here for more information and to access our Book of Remembrance.

Books in which to write the names of those gone before us are also available behind the last pew. The books will be placed in the Sanctuary at the foot of the altar during the month of November. Names entered via our parish website will be printed out and added to the physical book. If you have lost a loved one within the last two years, please consider adding a photo to our new display in the rear of the parish Church.

Please join us for the Blessing of the Eucharistic Chapel on Sunday, October 31 at the 10:00 AM Mass.  In November, we will initiate signups for Eucharistic Adoration.  More information will be provided in next week's bulletin.

The parish-wide survey is in full swing.  Please click here to complete this important 15-minute survey online.  For those who do not wish to complete online, a hard/paper copy of the survey is available in the back of the church and Mission for your convenience.

November 7 through 13 is National Vocation Awareness Week.  Please pray for an increase of vocations for nuns and priests.

The Saint Joseph Men’s Club invites all parishioners to attend an informative online presentation on a key subject of interest to all of us – Dementia. The Meeting will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday November 2 via ZOOM.  Please see the bulletin for more details.

Like our own family life, the pandemic has called for changes in how we live and serve our community neighbors.  Please click here for important updates and information on Sister John Marie's Pantry and how we can better serve our brothers and sisters in need.
